In the border area of Vinnytsia region, police detained an associate of the “people's governor” of the so-called “dnr”
During the operational and preventive measures on the territory of the border area, the police detected a man who tried to bypass the checkpoint unnoticed in order to leave the territory of Ukraine.
When checking operational information, the police found that a 35-year-old resident of the city. Konstantinovka of Donetsk region contributed to the activities of the terrorist organization “dnr”, since since 2014 it was part of the so-called formation “Slavyansk regiment”.
As part of the illegal armed formation, the man performed the task of ensuring the control and passage regime on the Russian-controlled side of the checkpoint.
The man was handed over to SBU officers in Vinnytsia region to establish all circumstances and facts of cooperation with the enemy.
The Security Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia Oblast investigates criminal proceedings on the grounds of the crime provided for in Art. 258-3 (Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man was informed of the suspicion and a precautionary measure in the form of detention was chosen.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of eight to fifteen years.
