In the port of Reni, border guards and BEB detectives prevented the smuggling of cigarettes worth UAH 32 million

During the inspection of a container on a ship that arrived in the port of Reni from an Asian country, law enforcement officers seized more than 400 thousand packs of tobacco products.
Smuggled tobacco, the total amount of which is estimated at 32 million hryvnias, was planned to illegally move to Ukraine.
The authorized search of the container was carried out by the operatives of the Izmail Border Detachment together with the detectives of TU BEB in the Odessa region under the procedural guidance of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
