At the ferry checkpoint “Orlivka” border guards detained an Azerbaijani citizen who was wanted by Interpol

The Azerbaijani citizen, who was under international investigation, was detained yesterday by the border guards of the Izmail detachment. The foreigner followed the departure from Ukraine through the ferry checkpoint “Orlivka”.
During the border control on the passenger of the bus “Neoplan”, the Interpol database was activated with a demand for arrest. Border guards found out that a 52-year-old man is wanted by law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan for illegal drug trafficking.
On this fact, the border guards reported to the Izmail Department of the National Police, to whose representatives the foreigner was subsequently handed over.
