In Poltava region, two people died while swimming in a pond, one of them a child
The tragedy occurred on June 24 on the river. Psel near the village. Knyshivka, Mirgorod district. A 6-year-old boy went swimming with his uncle. Their disappearance was reported by their relatives.
The bodies of the two dead were recovered by representatives of the diving and rescue department of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Poltava region.
In total, since the beginning of the year in the Poltava region, 27 people have died on the reservoirs, including 3 children.
At the same time, since the beginning of 2023, 382 people have died in the waters of Ukraine, 30 of whom are children.
To avoid a tragedy on the water, it is worth remembering that the main safety conditions are:
• the correct selection and equipment of bathing places; • training adults and children to swim;
• strict adherence to the rules of behavior during swimming and sailing;
• constant monitoring of children in the water by adults
