In memory of the dead border guard brother: sister with children climbed the highest mountain in the Czech Republic (VIDEO)
Sister of the fallen Hero Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Lakei, together with her sons conquered the highest peak in the Czech Republic — Mount Snezhka.
“We went up with the family, my boys overcame the route in 6 km on foot on their own. Sergey was a godfather to three-year-old Arthur and five-year-old Daniel, so they understood for whom and why they were doing it,” says Irina.
For more than 4 hours, Sergey's relatives climbed the most difficult route to a height of 1603 meters.
Sergey Lakei was killed on March 9 in fighting in the Lyman direction, near the village of Terni. He was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree and the Medal “Defender of the Fatherland”.
“The second of September 2023. Access to the highest mountain in the Czech Republic — Snežok. Incredible views. A few meters away, we got closer to our defensive guys, who gave the most valuable thing — their lives. Low bow, respect, appreciation for everything. We remember and love you: the 3rd Border Detachment, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, rest with God, boys,” said Heroya's sister.
