During a business trip to Kharkiv, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko visited units of the National Police and the State Emergency Service.

“A great job is being done by every rescuer and police officer in these turbulent days for the country. You show heroism every day - protect public order, serve at checkpoints, go to eliminate the consequences of shelling,” the Minister addressed rescuers and police.

Among those currently serving in this region are not only Kharkiv residents. A significant part of the police and rescuers moved from Luhansk region. After the outbreak of a full-scale war, they served to the last in towns and villages destroyed by the enemy.

Currently, units from Luhansk region work in several regions, in particular in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk region, Zaporizhzhia.

“I thank you for your resilience, for helping citizens save their lives and homes every day. For not betraying the oath” - said Igor Klymenko.

The Minister of the Interior praised the best fighters and wished them to return home as soon as possible. After all, these policemen and rescuers will restore law and order in Luhansk region after the de-occupation.

“All units remain part of the Main Departments of the Luhansk region. During the de-occupation of the territory, you will all return to your units within a few days,” Igor Klymenko assured.
