The Ministry of Internal Affairs held a solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of Ukraine
Today, February 16, on the occasion of the Day of Unity, the Ministry of Internal Affairs solemnly raised the State Flag and performed the State Anthem — symbols of Ukraine, the embodiment of national unity, honor and dignity.
The event was attended by the leadership and staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The honorary right to raise the State Flag of Ukraine is granted to law enforcement officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The bodies of the dead were covered with this flag, the defenders brought this flag from the front. And this is the greatest value for the entire time of Ukrainian Independence,” Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky emphasized on this day.
The blue and yellow flag unites all of us, Ukrainians, in the struggle for Independence. We are representatives of a great, freedom-loving, brave people with a thousand-year history. Now, against the background of growing hybrid threats, propagandistic and moral-psychological pressure on public consciousness, strengthening resilience and strengthening the consolidation of our citizens is gaining special importance.
