Collective training of the battalion tactical group began at the International Center of NGU for the first time. A unit of one of the military units of the Southern OTO arrived for collective training at the International Center in Kyiv region. Within a month, the guards as part of the battalion tactical group will undergo training according to the program of preparation for tasks in urbanized conditions. During the solemn opening of the training assembly, the acting head of the International Center, Colonel Serhiy Rekun, said in his speech:

“For the first time, we are conducting collective training as part of a battalion tactical group. Your unit will gain the skills and experience of autonomous actions to perform tasks in urbanized environments. During the training, we will use the experience of our international partners. I wish each of you to successfully master this course.”

The training of the unit began two weeks ago and was carried out by a mobile training group of instructors of the Training Center of Unit Training at the point of permanent deployment. Training as part of a detachment and platoon with combat firing was conducted there, and command training in Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) according to NATO standards was initiated.

At the same time, on the basis of the International Centre under the guidance of instructors of the Joint Operational and Tactical Group of the Armed Forces of Canada in Ukraine (Operation “UNIFIER”), the guards of the unit underwent a course of tactical assistance to the wounded in combat conditions (TSS).

According to the temporary acting head of the Training Center for the Training of Units Lieutenant Colonel Denis Kolomiets, during training, special attention will be paid to the preparation of the battalion headquarters and the management of the company link. In addition, the guards will be trained to carry out storming (stripping) of premises and buildings, mine security, destroy sabotage and reconnaissance groups, carry out the evacuation of the wounded according to standards close to NATO.

“During the training, we must train the operational unit to autonomously make decisions and act when participating in stabilization actions or during general military combat, using all available forces and means, as well as to be compatible with our international partners,” said Lieutenant Colonel Denis Kolomiets.

As a result of the training, there will be battalion tactical exercises using the laser system of simulating two-sided combat “Miles”, which will also involve the company marking the actions of the enemy of the Training Center.
