In the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lviv, a man tried to bribe the administrator of the center for a “positive” result of the exam.
Before the start of the exam, while in the car, the citizen handed over to the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs documents and an application for passing the exam, in which the funds were invested. Seeing this, the administrator recorded on camera the attempt to give a bribe and immediately informed the police about the incident.
Before the arrival of the police, everyone was in the car under surveillance of a camera, which, among other things, recorded the citizen's attempt to hide the funds that were offered as a bribe.
It should be noted that such actions can be classified as a criminal offense, provided for in Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — an offer, promise or provision of an illegal benefit to an official, for which liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of from one thousand to four thousand non-taxable minimum income citizens either restriction of liberty for a period of two to four years, or imprisonment for the same term.
Recall that from August 1, 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs by its Order No. 443, has changed the procedure for passing exams for obtaining the right to drive vehicles and issue driver's licenses. In accordance with them, the candidate for a driver is granted an unlimited number of attempts within two years from the date of issue of the certificate of completion of practical training.
