In Kryvyi Rih region, police patrol the coastal zone to prevent unauthorized archaeological excavations
In connection with the undermining of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant and the subsequent exchange of the Kakhovsky reservoir, it was decided to involve daily groups of law enforcement officers to patrol the coast in the territory of the villages of Marianske and Hrushivka of the Kryvyi Rih district.
Police officers monitor public order, monitor security on the coast, and prevent excavations by “black archaeologists” and the commission of offenses. According to local residents, during the creation of the Kakhovsky reservoir in this territory, two settlements and monuments of 200 years ago were flooded.
Police warn that the area of the exchanged reservoir may contain dangerous objects. So parents are urged not to allow children to the coast, so as not to put them in danger. In respect of persons who will try to commit illegal excavations, a legal decision will be made in accordance with the current legislation.
