In Krivoy Rog, police seized cannabis for seven million hryvnias
A local resident kept the drug plant in his own garage for further sale.
The activities of this criminal organization were suspended in the fall of last year. Then the police detained 15 members of the OZG.
Continuing the operational-search measures, law enforcement officers established a supplier of cannabis to members of the OZG.
The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He was informed of suspicion of art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The question of choosing a precautionary measure is being resolved.
In addition, methamphetamine was seized from the 34-year-old suspect's car and almost 120 kg of cannabis in the garage. The total value of the seized “goods” reaches seven million hryvnias. For the committed act, the defendant may face up to twelve years in prison.
