In Konstantinovka there was a street in honor of the evacuation group “White Angel”
One of the longest streets in the city, the International, was renamed in honor of the police units “White Angel” who rescue people near the front.
This name was proposed by residents of the community during a public discussion on the renaming of 176 streets in the city. Konstantinovskaya city military administration supported the choice of citizens.
The text of the proposal:
“The police unit “White Angels” was specially created in Donetsk region for the evacuation of civilians. Now it operates in many cities and has already become legendary. The title celebrates the heroism and devotion of the members of the White Angels squad who risked their lives to save others. In June 2023, a photo of Konstantinovich Pavel Dyachenko, in which he saves a child, got on the Ukrposhta stamp. We are proud of our countrymen.”
In an electronic survey, this proposal received a majority of votes among seven options. 31.9% of people voted for it. After processing the voting results by a special commission with the involvement of scientists, the street was given a new name — White Angels Street.
