The telephone service 112 is fully operational in the Kiev region
This was announced on his official Telegram channel by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.
As you know, 112 is the number for contacting citizens who are in an emergency situation. It is used as an alternative to hotlines 101, 102, 103 and 104, allowing you not to waste time calling each service separately.
The introduction of a single emergency call number started from the city of Kiev. In almost three months of work, more than 167 thousand calls were received. Most often, calls were directed to the National Police of Ukraine.
“People with hearing or speech impairments can also contact the line. Sign language interpreters of 112 have processed more than 2,000 such requests since July 1, 2023. We do not slow down and continue to work to ensure that the 112 service operates as soon as possible throughout Ukraine. Work continues. It will continue!”, — summed up the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
