Today, January 31, during a briefing, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced that yesterday in the capital, people who planned mass riots in the center of Kiev to destabilize the situation in Ukraine were detained in the capital.
During the briefing, Denis Monastyrsky noted that the organizers planned to attract up to 5 thousand people, of which 1.5 thousand - “titushka”, who were supposed to arrange fights with law enforcement officers. A mandatory element of the protests was to provoke law enforcement officers and imitation of victims among the participants of the action. Butaphora blood was harvested in advance, groups of fake doctors were planned and collected.
“The action was organized to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. This was only the first action in a series of planned ones. Similar rallies were planned to be held, in particular, in Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava and Cherkasy regions,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs summed up.
The head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko presented a video recording with evidence in the case.
“Those involved were preparing for serious clashes and provocations. During conversations, the tasks of “create a picture”, “roll out the situation” and “play out the play” are clearly heard. More than 5,000 people were expected to participate in the action. Of these, up to 2 thousand were mobs, and a thousand were aunts who had to engage in clashes with the police. Masovka should have received from 800 hryvnias, titushka - from 1200, and for burning tires and fireworks - 2500 US dollars,” Igor Klymenko said.
