A large-scale training on traumatological resuscitation and evacuation of wounded in the field took place in Kyiv
Within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum on reproduction between the National Academy of Internal Affairs, the State Border Guard Service, the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and the American company “Neál Movemēnt Sór”, the final stage of the operation took place lot training in traumatological resuscitation and evacuation of wounded in the field for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police, members of the civil protection service, civil servants of the State Border Service and the National Guard of Ukraine.
For six weeks, the participants of the training were trained by foreign instructors to practice evacuation and medical assistance to the seriously injured in emergency situations in combat conditions.
In particular, on the final day of the exercises there was a demonstration performance, where the fighters in the proposed circumstance, namely during the attack on the checkpoint, had to quickly react, eliminate the enemy and rescue the wounded comrades, evacuating them from the danger zone.
About 50 participants from different departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had to act strictly according to the scenario, involving heavy equipment, in particular BTRs. The action was as close as possible to real events in combat conditions.
Participants in the training on traumatological resuscitation and evacuation of the wounded in the field shared that they were impressed by even more modern methods demonstrated during the training by American instructors and emphasized that the evacuation of the wounded should take place during the “golden hour” - so called time, for which the wounded should be taken out of the war zone and provided first aid.
Also at the demonstration, the guests were shown the functioning of a field hospital and a mobile stabilization point. Evacuated wounded fighters had to provide medical assistance using those acquired during training.
The president of the American company “Neál Movеmеnt Sörr” Larry Miner said that he has been in Ukraine for 16 months, training the Ukrainian military. For Larry and his colleagues, this experience is not the first time, because he has been in more than one military conflict. Larry stated that he would remain in Ukraine until complete victory in this war over the Russian invaders.
The final stage of the pilot training on traumatological resuscitation and evacuation of the wounded in the field ended with the awarding of training certificates to the participants.
