In Kyiv, the family of the deceased Crimean Tatar Eskender Nimetullayev was presented with a state award
The brother and father of the deceased National Guardsman Eskender Nimetullaev were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree. High state award for personal courage and selfless service to the Motherland, protection of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, awarded by the decree of the President of Ukraine.
“We are working and living for our victory. Your son, brother, comrade laid down his life for the further prosperity of our state. He fully fulfilled his constitutional duty as a citizen of Ukraine. Unfortunately, the best are dying,” said Colonel Vitaliy Shum.
The chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, relatives, brothers and friends of Eskender personally attended the ceremony of awarding the award. Those present honored the memory of the fallen defender of Ukraine with a moment of silence.
“Crimean Tatars, when a child is born, everyone greets each other, and they say: “May the new world be good for you.” For us, children are indeed a new world. On September 2, a few days ago, Eskender should have turned 21 years old. This new world has gone too soon. This is all because Russian barbarians came to our land, they do not value their world, they do not love their children, but they kill ours. I would like all of us, in honoring our dead, to be with those who are also risking their lives today. May Allah bless all our actions so that we all return to the liberated Crimea as soon as possible. Eskender and his comrades fought for this, for this the whole Ukrainian army is fighting to liberate Ukrainian lands and restore all our borders,” said Refat Chubarov, the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
Senior National Guard soldier Eskender Nimetullayev died on February 4, 2023 while performing a combat mission in Luhansk region. In September 2020, the guy went to military service in the National Guard, in May 2022, by order of the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, he was awarded the badge “For Valorous Service”.
