In Kyiv, the families of the fallen defenders of Mariupol were presented with state awards
The Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree and the Medal “For Military Service to Ukraine” were awarded to the members of the families of the dead Guardsmen by the First Deputy Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine (Chief of Staff) Colonel Vadim Gladkov.
“The death of every defender of Ukraine is a great loss for the whole country. Your husbands, sons, fathers, brothers are real heroes. They made an invaluable contribution to the future victory of Ukraine over the occupying forces of Russia. Thank you for the true warriors, whose names will forever remain in the modern history of Ukraine,” he addressed those present.
Decrees of the President of Ukraine for personal courage and selfless actions, manifested in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, were posthumously awarded to servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, who heroically defended the city of Mariupol.
