In Dnipro, it is now possible to exchange a driver's license in the State Enterprise “Dokument”
From April 26, in the city Dnipro (ul. P. Nierinberg, 10) started its work Passport Service of State Enterprise “Document”, which is part of the management of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, where citizens can exchange their driver's license.
“Thanks to the cooperation of state bodies, we were able to implement an important project for people, to make the state service more qualitative and convenient for everyone. For the first time in Dnipro and the region, a driver's license exchange service is available in the Passport Service of State Enterprise “Dokument”. Therefore, citizens themselves can choose where it is better for them to exchange a driver's license — in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the State Enterprise “Document” or the nearest CNAP”, - said the deputy head of the Regional Service Center of the GSC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Dnipropetrovsk region Yuriy Pidoprigora.
Algorithm for the provision of services
The exchange of driver's licenses in the SE “Document” takes place according to the standard algorithm:
employees of SE “Dokument” receive from the client a full package of documents, photograph it and draw up an application for the exchange of a driver's license, which is considered by the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In case of approval of the procedure, a driver's license is printed on modern equipment in the premises of the Passport Service and issued to the customer of the service, the old document is removed.
When is it possible to exchange a driver's license in the Passport Service?
• the existing expired validity period;
• the inscriptions on the plastic sheet are erased and are not readable;
• the person has changed the data — last name, first name, patronymic;
• the driver wants to replace the old license with a new one.
Required list of documents:
• passport of a citizen of Ukraine (in case of providing an ID card without the information on registration of the place of residence available in a contactless electronic medium, a certificate of registration of the person's place of residence is provided together),
• certificate of assignment of the registration number of the taxpayer's registration card,
• a document confirming the change of personal data (for example, a marriage registration certificate — relevant for those drivers who have changed personal data),
• an existing driver's license, which is subject to exchange.
According to statistics, the exchange of a driver's license is one of the most demanded services. In 2022, almost 50 thousand exchanges of driver's licenses were carried out in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Since the beginning of 2023 — more than 13,600.
Service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expand the geography of service provision. And not only in Ukraine, but also beyond its borders. Recall that the units of DP Dokument work and provide Ukrainian citizens with driver's license exchange services already in five countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey and Germany.
