In Dnipro, police investigators reported on suspicion of the head of the enterprise in the appropriation of real estate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Using a non-valid decision of the Commercial Court, the suspect illegally changed the ownership of 50% of the non-residential premises of the military town from the official owner to a foreign company.
The scheme of fraudulent possession of property belonging to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was exposed by investigators of the Investigation Department of Particularly Serious Crimes of the Investigative Department of the Dnipropetrovsk Region Police Department under the procedural guidance of the Dnieper Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Military and Defense Sphere of the Southern Region. As established by law guards, organized illegal activities by the 36-year-old head of one of the enterprises of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The defendant fraudulently changed the ownership of 50% percent of the buildings and structures of the military town located in the Cathedral district of Dnipro from the legal owner to a private foreign company.
The total amount of losses is more than five million hryvnias.
On July 14, the defendant was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 4 of Art. 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A man faces up to twelve years in prison with confiscation of property.
Currently, the investigation in criminal proceedings is ongoing, a complex of necessary investigative actions is being carried out. Thanks to the professionalism of the investigators, the property belonging to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was returned to the owners.
