The idea of creating the work was born in the Department of Communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and its author was a soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine - Timur Nagalevsky. The book was published with the support of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko and in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk emphasized to the attending cadets of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the novel is about those heroes whose stories it is important not to lose, to hear and see:

“At this time of trial, when we are in a relentless movement of defending our rights and freedoms, it is extremely important not to relax, not to despair and to be one whole already in the third year of a full-scale war. Some people really want it. But the kind of people that are written about in the book, they don't allow us to do that. This book “comes in” in just one breath. This novel is about our heroes.”

Author Timur Nagalevsky emphasized that the work has an artistic military-historical format: “The main idea of the book is that history is a weapon.
Those in the military are creating the latest story. And the main character of the book is a mature man, a representative of the middle class, who was changed by a full-scale war and he joined the Ukrainian army.

The pages of the publication are decorated with illustrations by Darya Kopiyka, who together with the author of the book went to the soldiers to get to know each other personally, learn about their life before a full-scale war, about their preferences and dreams. As a result, the designer managed to put in each poster the hidden meanings and a piece of the soul of each of the main characters of the book.

“Every item on the posters is important. Sunflowers, musical notes, birds, sprigs of sakura, images of native cities, colors are all drawn from the heroes who became the heroes of our collages and books, in particular. I lived a little life with everyone”, - shared artist Daria Kopiyka.

During the presentation, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the three fighting heroes of collages. They were “Major” from the Steel Frontier Brigade, “Pehan” from Lutia, and “Deputy” from the Spartan Brigade. The men shared how the war began for them, about the first combat losses among their brothers and what helps to go forward now. Each of them is a volunteer who changed his peaceful life for the sake of fighting for Ukraine.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine joined the publishing house of the book. In particular, the adviser to the head of the MCIP Lesya Chervinska thanked the soldiers of the Guard of the offensive and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their involvement in the realization of the idea: “We appreciate your daily feat and do everything so that the Ukrainian nation remembers its history, knew its heroes. This book is a sample of our work.”

The work is planned to be distributed in the libraries of educational institutions, and now the book “The Guard of the Offensive. Self-seer” can also be seen at The London Book Fair International Book Fair in the UK at the stand of the Ukrainian publishing house Summit-Knyha.
