Border guards detained 9 violators in Chernivtsi region

Last day, as part of the joint special border operation “ZAWED-2023” in Chernivtsi region, 9 citizens of conscription age were detained.
Eight detainees tried to cross the border illegally into Romania outside checkpoints, and one to Moldova.
Border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment together with cadets of the higher education system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stopped violators at the sections of the departments “Selyatyn”, “Krasnoilsk”, and “Kelmentsy”.
All detainees were taken to border units for prosecution under Article 204-1 of the KUPP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.
