In Chernivtsi during a fire, firefighters saved 26 people
On April 10, at 21:04 the 101 hotline received a report of a fire in an apartment on the street. Yuzhno-Kyltsevaya in the city of Chernivtsi. The ignition occurred in the apartment on the first floor, the fire spread to the balcony and later spread to another balcony on the floor above. The area of the fire was 40 sq.m. In the entrance, dense smoke formed, which prevented the inhabitants of the house from going out into the street.
Rescuers, having arrived at the scene, evacuated 26 people from the entrance to a safe place. In addition, with the help of a ladder, firefighters rescued a woman through a window on the 2nd floor. In the apartment where the fire broke out, rescuers found two people during extinguishing. The owner, born in 1946, was already without signs of life, her son, born in 1980 - unconscious. The man was transferred to the doctors for a firefight, but during the resuscitation measures, the man died.
At 21:25 rescuers located and at 22:00, they eliminated the fire. The cause of the fire is established. 24 personnel and 6 units of equipment were involved in the elimination of the fire.
