Italian journalist issued temporary residence permit in Chernivtsi
“More weapons for Ukraine” — under this title was published an article by Giorgio Provinciale, a correspondent of the Italian newspaper “La Ragione”, who received accreditation to work in Ukraine.
In the article, the journalist exposes the insidiousness of the Russian Federation, as one of the guarantors of the Budapest Memorandum, which systematically disarmed Ukraine in order to attack it in the future.
It was this publication, dated the first days of August this year, that the man showed to the employees of the Department for Work with Foreigners and OBG of the Department of the State DMS in the Chernivtsi region, where he applied for a temporary residence permit.
Recall, on May 27, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 627 “Some issues of stay on the territory of Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons who arrived in Ukraine to work as a correspondent or representative of foreign media”.
The resolution stipulates that for the period of martial law and for 30 days after its abolition or termination, foreigners and stateless persons who have arrived in Ukraine to work as correspondents or representatives of foreign media will not be subject to restrictions on the terms of temporary stay in Ukraine.
In turn, the UDMS staff provided the necessary service to a foreign journalist who sincerely supports Ukraine and after a specified period was invited to the unit to obtain a ready-made residence permit.
