In Chernihiv there was a training meeting with dog trainers, national guards
For three days, the dog trainers and their four-legged brethren increased the level of training. The meeting contained repetition of theoretical and practical material. The dog trainers and their pets worked out general and special training courses for service dogs, passing the obstacle course, the selection of objects and the detention of a conditional offender.
“The main features of working with dogs are that each dog has its own personality and character, and needs an individual approach. Cynologists must have knowledge of animal behavior and physiology, as well as be able to find a common language with their wards. In addition, it is important that dog trainers are physically trained and have a high level of professional skill,” said the head of the dog service Lieutenant Yaroslav Nazarov.
Every day, dog handlers, along with their pets, are involved in the protection of public order during the patrol of the city, the protection of defendants, the service at checkpoints, and in the search for missing people.
