Cherkassy introduced a new police chief of the region
The head of the National Police Igor Klymenko introduced the new head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Cherkasy region — police colonel Vyacheslav Gurin.
Prior to his appointment, he worked as the head of the Department of the Main Investigation Department of the NPU. Vyacheslav Gurin has been in the internal affairs bodies since 1996, has extensive experience in investigative and operational units.
“We must fulfill our main functions — protection of public order, fight against crime, protect human rights and freedoms. At the same time, Cherkasy region should maintain the internal front and help in the fight against the enemy on the external front. Vyacheslav Gurin has a lot of life and professional experience behind him, which will allow the Cherkasy police team to rally around him,” said the Head of the National Police Igor Klymenko.
The presentation was attended by the chairman of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration Igor Taburets, the head of the regional USBU Yuriy Pogasiy, the acting head of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office Ostap Sidor, the heads of the police services and territorial units of the police of the region.
