“Hold on, Anya, three more minutes”: Donetsk police paramedics rescued wounded in Konstantinovka

On April 12, around 14:00 Russian troops struck Konstantinovka from the Smerch SSR. Five civilians were wounded: two men aged 24 and 32, as well as three women — 25, 54, 56 years old.

Paramedics were among the first to come to the rescue. Together with a forensic scientist from the investigative and operational team, they provided first aid to the victims and transported them to the hospital. A 25-year-old girl received the most serious injuries.

Paramedics applied tourniquets to the injured man, stopping the bleeding, and immediately brought him to the operating table. During the medical evacuation, they made sure that she remained conscious.

“Everything will be fine, Anya, talk to us,” the law enforcement officers asked. Thanks to timely assistance, the girl survived. Doctors are currently taking care of her.

As a result of the shelling, an apartment building and 9 private houses, a shop, cars were damaged, communications were cut off. Police recorded the aftermath of the attack.
