The Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen “Mental Health: Resilience and Fragility of the Future” will be held on September 6, 2023 in Kyiv
It is an international platform of interaction and soft power unity for the well-being of people in the world. The First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit was launched by First Lady of Ukraine Elena Zelenska in 2021. It brings together the first ladies and gentlemen of the world to create an international dialogue platform that will contribute to the solution of humanitarian problems around the world and the implementation of joint projects for the welfare of people.
Often the subject of discussion at this level are issues of security, problems of hunger, fresh water, violations of human rights. The Summit, which takes place in Ukraine for the third year in a row, will be about sincerity, honesty, trust, love. This is what makes a person human. Prevents conflicts and world troubles. It is prevention, not reaping the consequences. It is a need not only for Ukraine, but also for the whole world, which only in recent years has experienced the Covid-19 pandemic, terrible earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, large-scale forest fires and other countless disasters.
Ukrainians clearly realize that the source of strength is in ourselves, and this will be demonstrated by research, experts, celebrities, public opinion leaders, people on whom a thousand heavens have fallen, and they prove with every breath that life goes on.
The mission of the summit is to strengthen the soft power of the first ladies and gentlemen of the world in solving the global problems of humanity.
The summit will not be limited to Ukraine, but will be dedicated to the well-being of people around the world who have suffered or may be affected by the effects of the Vietnam War or other crises. First ladies and gentlemen from all over the world are invited to discuss the event, as well as world stars, opinion leaders, experts and other guests of honor on the topic of mental health.
Topics for discussion at the Summit:
- The strength and weakness to recognize and discuss mental health challenges openly, without stigmatizing such problems;
- The impact of war on mental health;
- The need to give the highest priority to projects in the field of promoting mental health support: increasing the visibility of the problem in society, promoting mental health literacy, combating stigmatisation, etc.
