Thousands of psychotropics, a minor trafficker of persons across the border and 15 violators: how the day passed with border guards
Border guards exposed a Transcarpathian who attracted a minor to the illegal transfer of persons across the border. And also among the cargo of humanitarian aid they found a large batch of narcotic and psychotropic drugs.
The day before, the border guards of the Mukachevo detachment detained a group of people who were moving to the border with Hungary. Two men of conscription age intended to enter illegally outside Ukraine, two others accompanied them. A 35-year-old resident of the city of Vinogradov promised an unhindered crossing of the border. He also involved a 17-year-old young man from Cherkasy region to illegal activities.
Border guards sent a notification to law enforcement officers about the detection of signs of a crime provided for in Part 2 of Article 332 “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated. The organizer of the criminal scheme was detained. He faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years.
Meanwhile, on the border with Slovakia, a large batch of narcotic and psychotropic drugs was found among the cargo of humanitarian aid in a minibus headed to enter Ukraine.
During the inspection by border guards in the luggage compartment, among other cargo, 4,730 tablets, 625 capsules and 25 syringe-ampoules of psychotropic and narcotic action were found.
They were transported from Poland to Ukraine by a 41-year-old citizen of Ukraine. The man assured that he was transporting cargo from Polish philanthropists for the needs of the Transcarpathian charitable organization.
Whether the driver provided the truthful information will be checked by the National Police. Border guards sent law enforcement officers a notice of detection of signs of criminal offenses provided for by Article 307 of the Criminal Code and Article 309 of the Criminal Code.
In total, on October 23, 78,000 people and 18,000 vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
39 thousand people left Ukraine. 26 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
39 thousand people followed to Ukraine, 35 thousand of them - citizens of Ukraine.
15 people were detained for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine.
