The technical passport can be shared in the application “Diia” — Denis Monastyrskyi
The new feature for drivers, which will appear in the “Diia” application, was presented today by Denis Monastyrsky during the Diya Summit.
Now in a few clicks you can send the data sheet to the application with any person who has “Action” installed. In this way, the people with whom you share the QR code become proper users and have the right to use your car and will be liable for violation of traffic rules.
“The most common situation is when a husband or wife uses a shared car in a family. From today, you can not transfer a technical passport, but use the appropriate service through the “Action”. The only thing I want to note is that when you share a technical passport with your wife, you should warn her that she will receive fines, including for you,” stressed the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
In the legislation, there has long been the concept of “Proper User”. However, now there are only about 40 thousand of them in the relevant registers.
For reference: A proper user is an individual who legally uses a vehicle that does not belong to him.
