Ternopil police exposed another scheme of illegal “transportation” of military personnel across the border

In the Ternopil region, a local resident helped conscripted men illegally cross the border of Ukraine. Currently, the defendant faces up to nine years in prison.

The man valued his “services” at $6,500. He offered evaders to travel to another state under the guise of a commercial carrier by entering fictitious identity information into a specialized database.

Also, the attacker provided illegals with power of attorney for the use of vehicles intended for international transportation.

According to the materials of UDVB operatives, the employees of the investigative department of the GUNP in the Ternopil region initiated criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Police of Ternopil region together with employees of the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the man while receiving funds. The subject of the crime was seized.

Under the procedural guidance of the Ternopil District Prosecutor's Office, police investigators announced the suspect to the attacker. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years. The investigation is currently ongoing.
