Schemes of illegal transportation of conscripts abroad and at least 6 violators: situation at the border
Border guards exposed schemes of illegal transportation of conscripted men across the border in Transcarpathia and Odesa region.
A 24-year-old resident of Beregovsky district of the Transcarpathian region organized a scheme of illegal movement of people across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. In the illegal activity, the woman involved three more people - a 39-year-old man who carried out the delivery of “clients” to the border and two underage youths who accompanied those who wanted to illegally leave the territory of Ukraine, directly to the border.
The organizer was detained when she received an illegal monetary reward in the amount of $3,800 from one of the potential “clients”. Also, law enforcement officers detained the woman's henchman, the same one who was going to transfer to Hungary two Transcarpathians.
Law enforcement officers seized the brand car from the “businessmen”, which delivered their “clients” to the border, as well as funds and other items that may become evidence of illegal activities of the forwarder.
The defendants have already been notified of suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine). If the organizer and her 39-year-old accomplice are proven guilty in court, they face imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years.
In addition, the border guards of the Izmail detachment exposed such a plot in the Odessa region. As a result of the measures, a 54-year-old resident of the city of Odessa was detained. He organized a scheme for transporting persons of conscription age across the state border. He found those who wanted to illegally leave the territory of Ukraine through the Internet. Customers paid him $5.5 thousand, of which 500 was spent on buying a cheap car to “embody” the scheme. Next, men were found, mostly with driver's licenses, since they were supposed to drive a purchased car to the state border, and the organizer accompanied them in another car.
Near the state border, “clients” had to leave cars and illegally cross the border on foot. But the scheme did not work. Law enforcement officers jumped the violators on the hot spot. The organizer was accompanying another purchased car with two residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region to the border.
The man was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime, and the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to make a bail in the amount of more than 805 thousand hryvnias.
The events were held within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine” under the procedural guidance of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Odessa.
