Sumy police carry out investigative actions in the city council regarding the seizure of budget funds (VIDEO)
Also, procedural measures are held for other persons who may be involved in the criminal scheme.
According to preliminary data, officials of the Sumy City Council in collusion with representatives of commercial structures established a scheme to seize budget funds allocated for the purchase of inventories to meet the needs of DFTG units.
In order to obtain materials that may be relevant for criminal proceedings, employees of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in Sumy Oblast (Region) and Sumy Regional Police Department conduct authorized searches of the premises of city council officials and the places of residence of the defendants.
Criminal proceedings are investigated under Part 4 of Art. 191 (Appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, investigative actions under the procedural leadership of the Sumy District Prosecutor's Office continue.
