Assault brigade of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Rubezh”: we return the legal boundaries of the state
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has started the formation of assault brigades “Guard of Offensive”, of which volunteers can become a part. One of these units is the Frontier Brigade.
On February 24, 2022, the brigade's tactical group was the first to engage Russian special forces. This happened in the area of the airport “Antonov” (Gostomel), which played an important role in the defense of the capital. The coordinated actions of the defenders did not allow the invaders to deploy their main forces in the immediate vicinity of Kiev. Then it was possible to destroy five and damage one enemy helicopter, as well as destroy the enemy's personnel to the ground.
This group then distinguished itself in the battles for Irpin, Guta Mezhyhirska and Moshchun, inflicting tangible losses on the occupier. In addition, the fighters took part in the battles for Rubizhne, staunchly defended Severodonetsk. The unit destroyed more than 300 units of armored vehicles of the Russian Federation, in particular the Tulip SAU, eliminated more than a thousand invaders and wounded almost 1.3 thousand invaders.
