Metropolitan police detained the head of a medical institution who sold fake certificates of unsuitability for military service
Law enforcement officers documented the receipt of illegal benefits by the official. In addition, during searches in the manager's office, almost 90 thousand US dollars were found.
Investigators of the Desnyansk Police Department, together with employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and under the procedural guidance of the Desnyansk District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Kyiv, exposed the head of one of the municipal medical institutions for receiving illegal benefits.
According to the head of the department of the investigative department of the Desnyansky police department Evgeny Byshevich, law enforcement officers documented the receipt of money in the amount of 3 thousand US dollars by the official.
“The head of the consultative and diagnostic center promised those who wish to organize the passage of a medical commission, as a result of which a certificate of unfitness for military service will be issued. Yes, we collected evidence of illegal activities of the Kyiv resident, who was born in 1962, and while receiving the “reward” we detained him,” he said.
In the office and at the residence address of the defendant, investigators conducted sanctioned searches and seized almost 90 thousand US dollars, false certificates of unsuitability for military service of other persons and draft records.
The police inform that now the head of the medical institution is threatened by Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
