Metropolitan police have exposed an abuser who mutilated children and sold pornography abroad
The offender sent pornographic photos to the 12-year-old schoolgirl and demanded similar images in return. In addition, during the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers found more than 200 victims of underage and underage girls from the actions of the defendant. The next 15 years the attacker can spend behind bars.
In the spring of 2022, investigators of the Kyiv Police Investigative Department received information from employees of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine that an unknown man sends pornographic content to a 12-year-old Kyiv girl and demands the same photos from her in return. Investigators for the investigation of sexual crimes against children were immediately sent to find the abuser and within a few days they located a 35-year-old resident of the capital.
During the search of the apartment of a 35-year-old Kiev resident, the police found out that this was not the only episode of the crime. Law enforcement officials said: “We discovered and recovered more than 4 terabytes of child pornography content on the man's computer and flash drives. During further elaboration, 181 episodes of his criminal activity and more than 200 girls aged 10 to 17 from both Ukraine and foreign countries who suffered from the actions of the defendant were established. The abuser found the girls on social networks and, posing as their peers, communicated with them on sexual topics, lured photos through deception, bribery, blackmail and threats of murder or rape. In addition, he even followed some schoolgirls on the way home from school in real life. He sold child pornography abroad and for a long time from such activities made millions in profits. So far, we have established one of the permanent foreign “clients” who bought child porn content from the abuser and two of his accomplices, one of whom is a Russian citizen.”
Law enforcement officers searched and interviewed 15 girls from different regions of Ukraine who suffered from the actions of the defendant. Some of them admitted that they tried to commit suicide, because they could not stand the psychological pressure, threats and blackmail from the abuser.
The police collected the evidence base of the criminal actions of the offender and, under the procedural guidance of the Kiev City Prosecutor's Office, the investigators notified him of suspicions of committing crimes stipulated by the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the moment, investigators have sent the indictment against the man to the court for consideration of the case on the merits. The defendant faces up to 15 years in prison.
