He defended the Motherland and chose the career of an officer — the story of the 19-year-old champion of Ukraine in karate
Fully motivated and focused on Victory, both in civilian life and now in military life. Such a characteristic of Myroslav Omelchenko is given by colleagues from sports and colleagues at work and in training.
19 year old resident of the village. Pukhivka, who is in the Brovarsky district of Kyiv region, together with his father met a full-scale war and did not hesitate to go to the local terrorist organization. The couple took up arms and stood in defense of his hometown. When the enemy was repulsed and liberated Kyiv region, Myroslav decided to link his life with the National Guard of Ukraine and immediately went to study at a specialized higher educational institution.
“This is my dream. Learn and become an officer. And I realize this dream,” says Miroslav.
Now the champion is a cadet, studying at the first year of the Kiev Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine.
He trains with his peers, for whom he has already become a demanding coach - after all, he is the current champion of Ukraine and the bronze medalist of Europe in kyokushinkai karate.
Recently, cadet Miroslav Omelchenko in Kropyvnytskyi took part in qualifying competitions among adult men. And for the first time he will represent our country, the national team of the country, the National Guard of Ukraine at the 13th Absolute World Championship in Shinkiokushinkai Karate.
“I want to tell my peers that the National Guard is cool. Here you will find worthy friends, real fighters. And yet, for me, as an athlete, everything is fine with sports here,” said Myroslav Omelchenko.
