The United States will continue to support the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
This was discussed during the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopian with the head of the law enforcement department of the US Embassy in Ukraine Yuriy Fedkiv.
Mary Akopyan expressed gratitude to the American side for the consistent support of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the bodies of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the relevant US agencies. In particular, it was about strengthening the capabilities of the National Guard of Ukraine, primarily in the sphere of protection of critical infrastructure facilities.
Separately, the participants of the meeting paid attention to the possibility of initiating active cooperation of the National Police of Ukraine with American partners in order to strengthen the potential of the NPU in the field of cyber defense.
“Today, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is gaining extremely important experience in many areas. This applies to the fight against cybercrime, to the conduct of mining, and the protection of critical state objects. And we are ready to share this experience with our partners,” said Mary Akopian.
For his part, Yuriy Fedkiv assured the Ukrainian side that the United States will continue to support Ukraine on the way to protect its statehood and its territorial integrity.
