Representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police of Ukraine and scientists of departmental institutions of higher education discussed the main priorities for the development of the security environment at the meeting of the working group on the development of the draft Concept for its development, taking into account the challenges associated with military aggression. The event was held in the format of a video conference.

In conditions of martial law and after its termination/abolition, state institutions should be prepared for potential threats caused by destabilization of the economic and political situation in the country. In this regard, it is of particular value to consolidate the efforts of theorists and practitioners in creating a universal, strategic approach to the timely identification of risks and their prevention. Representatives of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine outlined these fundamental points, which should be taken into account during the work with the draft Concept.

Director of the Department Inna Yashchuk emphasized the need to determine the actual ways of development of the security environment, taking into account previous experience, existing legislative approaches outlined in domestic regulations and prospects for development of Ukraine in the war and post-war periods. Her first deputy Anton Sizonenko outlined the general provisions of the essence and content of the concept of a safe environment, and also determined the main priorities for its development.

Representatives of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs took part in the event: First Vice-Rector Yehor Nazimko, Head of Department of Organization of Scientific Work Anna Buga, Head of Research Laboratory of Public Safety of Communities of Faculty No. 2 Andriy Zakharchenko, Acting Head of Research Laboratory Department of Prevention of Criminal Offenses of Faculty No. 3 Tetiana Titochka and Head of the Research Laboratory on Problematic Issues of Law Enforcement Activities of KNI Andriy Chervinchuk.

The security environment is a set of social, economic, technological and other conditions that affect the level of protection of people from criminogenic threats, emergencies and other dangerous events. Their provision belongs to the main tasks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine and the central executive bodies, whose activities are directed and coordinated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The members of the working group were provided with a draft Concept plan with clearly defined areas to be worked on as soon as possible.
