34-year-old Alexey with the nickname “Khach” is now the commander of the branch of the special intelligence unit of the brigade “Rubezh”.
“I myself come from Sumy region, but I have been living in Irpen for about 5 years,” says Oleksiy. My husband was not a military man, he was a builder by profession.
He worked abroad for a long time and had plans to settle there.
He learned about the beginning of a full-scale war from his mother-in-law. A woman who lives on the border with Russia called him at 5 a.m. and reported shelling. Alexey took his wife and children to a safe place and went to the military enlistment office. After training, he got into intelligence.
Alexey and his brothers have already passed 3 rotations at the front. The most difficult thing was in the Bakhmut direction.
“The scout is the first person who enters the position in order to help the infantry choose firing points and establish communication with adjacent units,” the military says about the specifics of his service.
