European partners handed special equipment for dogs to Ukrainian dog breeders (video)

16 new trailers equipped for the transportation of service dogs were received by canine units of different regions of Ukraine. Such equipment will help the police to perform tasks in the de-occupied and territories close to the fighting.

Rolf Holmbo, the head of the National Police of Ukraine and the head of the Consultative Mission of the European Union, joined the transfer ceremony of the equipment.

The police face new challenges, so law enforcement officers must respond to them cooperatively, said Deputy Head of the National Police Gennady Fedoriuk. He thanked his partners for their help. In turn, Rolf Holmbo noted that the mission also adapts work to help Ukrainian partners resume work in the de-occupied territories.

“Every day you demonstrate to the world your extraordinary determination to emerge victorious from this war and defend your country. And we are working hard to provide you with additional equipment, additional vehicles, such specialized ones that we are delivering today, as well as personal protective equipment, medical, equipment to support you in work in the de-occupied territories,” said the head of the EU Advisory Mission.

The main tasks now for service dogs are the detection of weapons, mines, unexploded objects. Especially in the de-occupied territories. This task is critical and requires the proper transportation of service dogs to their job sites in hazardous conditions.

So special trailers were received by dog trainers from Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kiev, Kherson, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr regions and m. Kiev.
