The “White Angel” special patrol evacuated a large family from New York
The family raises six children between the ages of 3 and 19. Every day the little one shuddered from the explosions, and after Russian shells hit the neighboring houses, the mother asked for an emergency evacuation.
The special patrol “White Angel” helped to save the children, and the authorities prepared housing for the family in the Cherkasy region.
The village of New York, in the Donetsk region, is shelled daily by the occupiers. In one of the recent strikes, more than 20 residential buildings were damaged. However, there are still many children in the settlement who live under threat of death.
“There were strong arrivals nearby, the children were very afraid. We decided to save them,” says mother Olga. “We can't go out on the street, it's dangerous, the kindergartens are all closed, there is no development — we just sit at home.”
The “White Angels” evacuated the mother and all her children: 19-year-old Valentina, 14-year-old Vika, twins Polina and Angelina, who are 5 years old, four-year-old Alena and the youngest - three-year-old Bohdanchik.
The child was taken out of the combat zone safely and comfortably. The police took care that the process of forced relocation remained in the memory of the children as a pleasant journey, and gave the younger ones a box with toys. On the road, the girls and the youngest man in the family drew and asked law enforcement officers to inflate balloons.
Thanks to the military administration, the family goes to Cherkasy region, where housing awaits them. The White Angels also provided people with contacts from volunteer hubs and other centers for IDPs.
“Children should not be at war. They need to be in a safe environment. Therefore, we do everything that depends on us so that no child remains in the hot zones,” says Pavlo Dyachenko, a member of the White Angel evacuation group.
