Service dogs Daphne and Sherry from the Red Viburnum Brigade were awarded “For Dedicated Service” medals
Daffney and Sherry are specially trained and dedicated service dogs of the 14 operational brigade “Red Kalina”, who received the Medal “For Dedicated Service” of the III degree.
In March and April of this year, during combat missions, dog handlers, together with four-legged assistants, helped to find and remove weapons, ammunition and explosives in the Kiev region, thus ensuring the safety of citizens. Under the supervision of dog handlers, the dogs carefully and professionally performed the task on the site and were honored by the command of the National Guard of Ukraine.
“This is Sherry's first award,” says the team's dog trainer Alexander.
It was he, together with Sherry, during the survey of the terrain, who discovered the remains of the rocket system of salvo fire “Hurricane”.
“She is very active, trying to put herself above everyone now. Although Sheri has a character in me, she teaches herself more than she can,” adds Alexander.
Daphne and Sherry continue to train and carry on duty under the direction of the brigade's canine service.
Recall that the National Guard of Ukraine has in its composition not only professional and effective fighters, but also many qualified and very important specialists who work conscientiously for the safety of the Ukrainian population.
