Investigators of the National Police reported the suspicion of 8 more occupiers who looted in homes in Kyiv region
Representatives of the allegedly elite Rosguard unit stole everything that local residents left, fleeing from the “liberators”: from underwear and clothes to household appliances.
Investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine together with employees of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police and the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the SBU under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office established the involvement of 8 more servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in violations of laws and customs wars.
In particular, we are talking about the plundering of the values of the civilian population of the Buchanskaya urban territorial community of the Kiev region.
In the course of investigative and investigative measures, law enforcement officers documented the criminal activities of the servicemen of the military unit No. 6720 of the Russian Guard of the aggressor country. From February 24 to March 31, acting deliberately, contrary to the order of observance of the laws and customs of war defined by international conventions, Russian war criminals plundered the private property of the local population. At the same time, the seized property could not be used for military purposes, so the occupiers robbed people solely for the purpose of personal gain.
The objects of possession of eight Russian servicemen and their henchmen were objects of general use - from underwear and clothing to household appliances and things that they sent from the territory of the Belarusian city of Mozyr to their relatives by mail.
In general, at the present time in the said proceedings opened for the commission of criminal offenses provided for in Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war), 18 looters in Russian military uniform have been reported on suspicion. Earlier, 10 occupiers were notified of suspicion, they were declared internationally wanted and a precautionary measure in the form of detention was chosen.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years.
