Families of dead National Guardsmen presented posthumous awards “For Courage”
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, seven guards of the 31st Brigade of the NGU were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously).
The head of the Central Territorial Department of the National Guard of Ukraine together with the commander of the 31st Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine presented state awards to the families of the deceased servicemen.
“The memory will be eternal. We remember the heroic exploits of the guards, who fought for freedom and peace at the cost of their own lives. We continue to defend the borders of the Motherland and drive the enemy from the fields of our land, so that the feat of the fallen heroes will forever remain in the memory and hearts of every Ukrainian,” said Lieutenant General Volodymyr Hordiichuk.
The commander of the 31st Brigade said: “All the fallen guards are heroes, because they gave their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of our state. We will remember their courage as long as we live.”
