In connection with the closure of the subway, the main load for the transportation of citizens will fall on ground public transport. Accordingly, it will become larger, so traffic can become much more difficult. This was announced on his Telegram channel by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.
“Therefore, he made a proposal, which was supported during the meeting of the Commission: we introduce changes in the organization of road traffic on the busiest sections of the capital's roads,” he said.
This, the Minister stressed, will allow to increase the capacity of public transport, adjust the timing of switching traffic signals, transfer public transport stops for convenience, change some road signs. There will, of course, be reinforced patrols.
“More details about the changes will be told in the Department of Patrol Police. It is imperative that we announce in detail all the innovations that, I am convinced, will prevent the transport collapse in the capital,” Igor Klymenko said.
