Every day, explosives detect and neutralize VNPs: 22 units were destroyed in the past day
As a result of the armed aggression of Russian troops, Ukraine has become the most mined country in the world. The pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service work daily to detect and defuse explosive objects and to clear our land of enemy debris.
Today, the dirtiest areas are those where there has been fighting and constant shelling. These are Kharkiv, Sumy, Nikolaev, Donetsk and Kherson regions.
Kharkiv region. Over the past day, August 13, pyrotechnic calculations of the State Emergency Service carried out surveys of about 600 square meters of territory and 1 private household in Kharkiv, Izyum, Kupyansk, Bogodukhiv and Chuguev districts of the region. The sappers detected and neutralized 19 units of enemy mines, explosives and ammunition. The work involved 7 pyrotechnic calculations of the SNS consisting of 35 sappers and 14 units of equipment.
Sumy region. Among the arsenal discovered and destroyed, artillery shells, mortar mines, grenade launchers, explosives and hand grenades over the past week. Dangerous finds were found in the territories of Sumy, Akhtyrsky, Romensky, Konotop and Shostka districts. In total, 492 cases of detection of explosive objects have already been recorded in the region since the beginning of the year.
Kherson region. During the day, the sappers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine defused 35 explosive objects in the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region. A total of 25 engagements were made.
Donetsk region. Pyrotechnics carried out 23 engagements on the territory of Kramatorsk, Volnovsky and Pokrovsky districts. 67 units of GNP were detected and 4.22 hectares of territory were examined for the presence of GNP.
