Fraudulent schemes, counterfeiting and enemy propaganda: cyber police met with educators

Cyberpolice joined the Civil Society Week under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine within the framework of the implementation of the National Strategy for the Promotion of Civil Society Development in Ukraine and held meetings with participants of the educational process in five regions of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers met with education applicants and teachers in Kharkiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Odessa and Transcarpathian regions. Speakers talked about the peculiarities of the work of cyber police during the period of martial law and common fraudulent schemes. Especially noted were those that appeared after a full-scale invasion. In addition, okemo talked about observing cyber hygiene and organizing safe online training.

Law enforcers also spoke about the project StopRussiaChannel “Dream”. The initiative aims to raise citizens' awareness in the field of cybersecurity. The project focuses the efforts of volunteers on countering the spread of fakes and enemy propaganda in the media space.

Already, more than 6 million complaints to block propaganda resources have been sent by users since the beginning of the creation of the “Dream” channel.
