Sappers of NGU told about mine contamination of de-occupied territories in Kharkiv region
The guards take an active part in the return to peaceful life of the liberated territories. An important role in this process is played by the mining groups of the NGU.
Everywhere the foot of the Russian occupier has set foot, sappers find a huge number of explosive objects. In addition, the invaders actively used remote mining installations: they left hundreds of hectares of territory with anti-personnel explosive devices: every half meter — a mine.
A typical phenomenon is a trap on a sapper. This is when there may be several more under one explosive device. For this purpose, antipersonnel mines OZM-72 or hand grenades embedded under the TM-62 anti-tank mine are often used. The latter contains 7 — 7.5 kilograms of TNT and can handle a load of 120 kilograms.
“A lot of mines were left by the Russians. There are also “mini-surprises”. Plus, the wogs made certain operations with the detonator - when unscrewing or transferring to the transport position, the mine can work. We are trying to dispose of them immediately on the spot,” said a National Guard soldier.
However, the real hell — squares dotted with small “petals” (so-called “lepestok”) — their purpose is to mutilate people. Within a certain time, they would have to self-destruct. But in practice this is not so. At one of the abandoned positions, sappers found up to 20 such explosive objects.
In addition, the Russians tightly mined the territories around their positions, roads and even in the fields. In the rapid retreat, the occupiers also tried to primitively replace items, equipment, and ammunition depots that were being thrown.
Engineers of the National Guard say that almost every day their “explosive catch” amounts to hundreds of explosive objects.
