NGU sappers examined and cleared 141 hectares of Kiev region, defused more than 14 thousand explosive devices
Engineering sapper units of the National Guard of Ukraine continue work on demining settlements in the Kiev region.
This was stated during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform by Oleksiy Nadtochiy, Head of the Operations Department of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine.
“Since the beginning of the work, NGU units have examined and cleared 141 hectares of territory and defused more than 14,000 explosive objects. In addition, the work is conducted by diving groups. They surveyed 5.5 kilometers of the Dnieper River channel in the last week alone. Since the beginning of the works — 48 kilometers”, - said Oleksiy Nadtochyi.
According to him, in addition to combat tasks in the Defense Forces, units of the NGU continue to ensure public safety and conduct operational exercises to identify persons who may be involved in working for Russia.
