Homemade UAV for moving contraband abroad: border guards prevented illegal activities of dealers (VIDEO)
On the outskirts of the village of Pidvinohradiv, Berehove district of the Transcarpathian region, border guards found the launch site of a self-made UAV and a car containing a copter launcher with a control panel.
In addition, they found a cylinder, a compressor and a laptop with a downloaded map of the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. Almost 1,500 packs of non-smoking cigarettes were found there, which smugglers intended to ship to Hungary.
Dealers have just found out that they were exposed by border guards, left the scene.
On the detection of signs of a criminal offense, provided for in Art. 204 Criminal Code “Illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation for the purpose of sale of excisable goods”, Art. 282 Criminal Code “Violation of the rules for the use of airspace”, notifications were sent to the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Main Directorate of the National Police of the region.
